History

Robert Sawyer BIO

A California licensed architect with a strong design library dedicated to ergonomic sustainability, and site-specific design. From working with the Frank Lloyd Wright Studio Foundation to creating Architectural Business Magazine, and the Edaburi Awards, Robert Sawyer has been a visionary in the custom design industry, and has created several notable commercial designs including: the LA Furniture Mart with John Ruhlen and Bruce Becket as well as the AT&T Conferencing centers, and the AVDAA Dealer Auto Auction in Santa Clarita.

Robert Sawyer along with Kenneth Boisseau and Wilson Carter created dozens of award-winning communities such as Garner, NC's Bryan Woods, Avondale Terrace, Tamarack on the Lake, and many others. As an intern architect with Mack and Susan Little he created with Landscape Architect Stephen Pease several notable Raleigh landmarks including the Chamber of Commerce, among others.

As a quasi-design-builder, Mr. Sawyer's work is compelling. His hands-on approach to construction utilizes 40 years of personal design experience in architectural detailing, and 17 apprenticeships with all trades related to construction. His work is exemplary in every detail. However, appropriate execution of these details comes from the experience gained from over 1,100 housing units completed  thus-far. From complicated airports such as his design for Raleigh-Durham's RL-23R (the largest project in the history of the State of North Carolina) completed with Donnie Holmes, to Single Family Homes, and recording studios for major labels, Robert Sawyer has the experience, the knowledge, and the talent to see these through to completion.
